Volunteer for Get-Out-To-Vote efforts with the MN Democratic Party

The Minnesota DFL is eagerly seeking volunteers for Get Out the Vote events from Nov 1-8. These local elections could easier come down to a couple hundred votes and every single voter is going to matter. Volunteering can take as much or as little as you can commit. We need door knockers and phone bankers just about every day. This is a joint effort with the Carl Dems and Carls for Hillary. To get involved/sign up, email Shayna Gleason (gleasons@carleton.edu).

Trip to Sacred Stone Camp

So many of you may have heard about the inspiring camp set up by the Standing Rock Lakota Nation and ally Lakota, Nakota, & Dakota citizens to resist a pipeline (the Dakota Access Pipeline) that would be built through native land. If you would like to learn more visit their website: http://sacredstonecamp.org/about/ Many folks have been going out to the Sacred Stone Camp in North Dakota to be in solidarity and generally support the camp. The more people at the camp, the more awareness, the harder it is for police to shut it down, and the more labor can go into preparing the camp for winter. Carleton students are going to be driving out 8th weekend; this is a call for you to join us. For more information and to sign up follow this link: https://goo.gl/forms/2EathspEjLrQ2zGP2

This is a really powerful and important moment to be involved in the fight for indigenous rights and climate justice. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please email me (neubauers@) or text/call me at (262) 994-1199. If you cannot make it but can donate, please consider contributing to the legal defense fund for those arrested in the fight: https://fundrazr.com/d19fAf?ref=sh_25rPQa

**Please note this is from a Carleton student, for any questions or information please contact the student above.
