With interim finals turned in and the #MyStOlaf submission period closed, the Board of Regents Student Committee (BORSC) wants to wish Oles a safe and revitalizing break. We also want to give a huge thanks to everybody who shared their stories with us.
January proved to be very productive for BORSC: the first annual Board of Regents video contest, #MyStOlaf, garnered some serious student attention. Twenty-six Oles submitted original videos about their St. Olaf experiences, and more than four dozen of you gave short video statements to BORSC members while we tabled outside the Cage.
Though the submission period is over, the contest isn’t quite done yet. The voting period will take place on Oleville during the first week of second semester, and all Oles are encouraged to cast their votes for the best videos. At the end of the voting period, BORSC will announce the winners of each category as well as the winner of the drawing for a $50 Pause gift card–the prize for the short video statements.
Over interim break, BORSC Coordinator Evan Davis will share with the Board of Regents a compilation of all #MyStOlaf submissions. The final compilation will also be shown to the student body during second semester–stay tuned for details!
